# Data Retention and Deletion Policy

## Purpose

This Data Retention and Deletion Policy (“Policy”) describes how PDF Dot Net LLC (“Company”) retains, archives, and deletes information stored by users through the Company website and related services. The Company retains personal information and user content only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce its agreements.

## User Documents

### Active User Accounts

Documents uploaded or created by users are retained while the user's account remains active and the documents have not been deleted by the user.

### Deleted Documents

When a user deletes a document, the document is moved to the user's recycle bin or trash folder and remains recoverable for thirty (30) days. During this period, the user may permanently delete the document at any time. Documents remaining in the recycle bin will be automatically and permanently deleted after thirty (30) days, after which they cannot be recovered.

### Deleted User Accounts

If a user deletes their account, the Company will permanently delete all documents associated with that account as soon as reasonably practicable, generally within minutes of the deletion request. Following deletion, the documents cannot be recovered except to the extent retained in backup systems for disaster recovery purposes or as otherwise required by law.

### Unauthenticated or Unauthorized User Data

Documents associated with users who are not authenticated or who have not created or maintained an active account are automatically deleted after thirty (30) days. Once deleted, such documents are permanently removed from the production environment and cannot be recovered.

## Legal Retention Requirements

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may retain information for a longer period where necessary to:

- Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements;
- Investigate security incidents, fraud, or misuse of the Company’s services;
- Enforce contractual rights;
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, its users, or others; or
- Comply with litigation hold or legal preservation obligations.

## Secure Deletion

Upon expiration of the applicable retention period, information is permanently deleted or otherwise rendered inaccessible in accordance with the Company's security practices.

## Policy Review and Updates

Company shall review this Policy on an annual basis, or sooner upon significant legal, operational or technology changes that materially impact Company.
